Preamble: a preliminary introduction to a statute or constitution (usually explaining its purpose) / make a preliminary introduction, usually to a formal document.

Constitution: The constitution is the document which sets out the rules of Commonwealth, or Federal, Government.

The set of basic rules by which a country or state is governed. In Australia’s case it is a document written in the 1890s which sets out the structure of Australian federal politics. The Constitution can only be amended through a constitutional referendum.

Procurement: The combined functions of purchasing, inventory control, traffic and transportation, receiving, inspection, store keeping, and salvage and disposal operations.

Proposal: the act of offering or suggesting something for acceptance, adoption, or performance.

Referendum: A proposal to alter the Constitution put to the vote. The Australian Constitution can only be altered by a majority of electors in a majority of States passing the proposed amendment.

Amendment: a statement that is added to or revises or improves a proposal or document (a bill or constitution etc.) / A change either to alter, add to, or correct part of an agreement without changing the principal idea or essence

Prerequisites: A requirement, usually the completion of another course, which must be met before a student may register for a course . / Requirements that must be completed before enrolment in a particular course

Senate: The Upper House of the Federal Parliament of Australia.

Government: A government is a body that has the authority to make and the power to enforce rules and laws within a civil, corporate, religious, academic, or other organization or group

Cover Letter: A letter sent with other documents to explain more fully or provide more information

Review: the process of going over a subject again in study or recitation in order to fix it in the memory or summarize the facts.

Indigenous: originating in and characteristic of a particular region or country; native. Whereas in the cayse of Indigenous Australians, they were the first peoples of Australia, including those of mainland Australia and Torres Strait Island and Experience World History, K.J Mason P.329

Inquire: to seek information by questioning; ask

Requirement: A need or necessity that must be completed

Significant: something having or expressing a meaning; meaningful

Stolen generations: The Stolen Generations (or Stolen Generation) is a term used to describe those children of Australian Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander descent who were removed from their families by Australian government agencies and church missions, under various state acts of parliament, denying the rights of parents and children by making Aboriginal children wards of the state, between approximately 1869 and (officially) 1969

Standing offers: Agreement under which a vendor allows a buyer to purchase specified goods or services at a predetermined price for a certain period on an ‘as and when’ requirement basis.
